Shoshannah currently serves as the Associate Director for the Center for Sustainable Systems at the School for Environment and Sustainability. Established in the early 1990s at U-M, CSS research foucses on life cycle assessment, sustainable supply chains, circular economies, emerging technologies, the nexus of systems, and social and economic impacts.
Before joining CSS, Shoshannah earned her BA from Cornell University and worked for the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), advising organizations around the world. Since completing her graduate studies, Shoshannah has worked for 12 years for DTE Energy, including advising the CEO on clean energy strategy. She has held several Director roles at DTE leading statewide strategy and operations teams, including serving as the Incident Commander for the Gas division’s COVID-19 response through the first year of the pandemic.
