What comes after the SDGs? The United Nations adopted the SDGs with input from 70 countries after a three-year process born at the Rio 2012 Summit. Governments set 2030 as the year for achieving the SDGs. But today it is evident that nations will not make sufficient progress to achieve the SDGs by 2030. The webinar will reflect on what may come after 2030 as the global goals for sustainability and the importance of target-based efforts towards sustainability.
Arun Agrawal teaches and carries out research as a professor at the School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS) at the University of Michigan. His work is concerned with the thinking and practice of sustainability and development. Beyond his teaching and research at SEAS, he serves as a co-chair of IPBESās Transformative Change Assessment and is involved in the creation of the National Sustainability Society in the U.S.
