Sue Shink currently represents Michigan's 14th Senate District in the State Senate. Prior to her election to the Michigan Senate in 2022, Sue served on the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners since 2018.
In her various governmental roles, Sue has championed a number of environmental priorities at the state and local levels. She stresses the importance of academic research involvement in policy making, and in 2023, she sponsored and negotiated historic clean energy legislation that established Michigan as a national leader in the fight against climate change.
