This talk will explore the relationship between food sovereignty and climate change. As the urgency for action becomes more apparent than ever, entities ranging from political, corporate, market, and grass-root backgrounds are proposing complex food systems initiatives that claim to address the climate crisis. What are these strategies? Which ones are effective? Who will benefit from such strategies? And which, if any, are “false solutions”? We will address each of these questions and learn about community led models from around the country.
